Just returned from 10 days in Italy. Walked probably 15 kilometers each day. In cities as well as in the hills above the Cinque Terre. These were the only shoes I took. Fantastic!

A very comfortable shoe

I have degenerative discs, in two lumbar and one sacral disc. The Riva series is the best shoe of the Teva family for my back. I own the Riva event, but it is too warm of a shoe for summer. I actually save wearing the Riva's for when I have a really bad pain day, they help me so much. The Riva mesh is a very good warm weather shoe. It gives great comfort and support, but the mesh is cool. The shoe is very sturdy. I would not want to wear it in water, while it may work fine, I feel I would degrade the quality of the shoe. I recommend the Dozer series for water. They also give very good support for an open, sandal like shoe. I really hope Teva keeps the Riva line available.

I wear them almost every day and having a bad foot I need something very comfortable and with good support. I can't begin to say what an awesome shoe they are . Just ordered another pair in different color.
