Not enough colorful choices for women size 12
PostedApril 7, 2016
ProsArch Support
ConsPoor Fit
I wear a size 12 in women's and the only styles available in that size are black unattractive styles. Why aren't there more cute, fun and brightly colored styles available for larger feet.

Poor quality

ProsBreathable, Comfortable, Cushions Impact
ConsDurability
I was initially impressed with this shoe. It was comfortable and great for walking and casual work environment. In less than 6 months, however, they have holes in the outside upper toe area. A coworker bought the same shoes and hers have the exact same flaw. Although I have bought Skechers for some time, I would not recommend this shoe due to the unexpectedly poor quality of craftsmanship.

Great shoes, but not if you get them wet or damp

ProsBreathable, Comfortable, Cushions Impact, Stylish
I am prompted to write this review for a variety of reasons, because I want to tell people some MAJOR pros/cons about the product that I didn't always see listed in other reviews (see the cons below). I have had many different pairs of Skechers over the years and own four pair at the moment, so I am obviously a fan. PROS: First, let me say that for the shoe itself, I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it. You can start wearing them all day long straight out of the box. I had never had the type of shoe without actual laces and was a little apprehensive as to whether they would "keep their shape" and not stretch out. My consensus is that they are fine after 6 months of use every day, all day! Awesome. I also like the fact that they are flexy so that I can grip with my toes if I am climbing up somewhere. They are very, very airy from the "vents" on the side which I really love, especially during the summer, but be aware of that when it turns a bit colder (aka 50 degrees or less) - your tootsies will also get cold. The insoles are incredibly comfortable and help keep these shoes super light - it's almost like you're not even wearing any shoes. They have also helped me IMMENSELY with my knees that were injured for a few months. These shoes allowed my knees to properly heal and not put any stress or weight on them. Okay, so now to the cons below. CONS: This is a huge, huge, HUGE con for me, and is now actually making me mad. I would have otherwise rated these shoes as a 5 if I did not have this problem, and I have seen MANY other people (not so much on here, but on google searches) that have asked the same questions about this shoe with only a so-so answer from Skechers that doesn't even help. IF YOU GET THE EVA/MEMORY FOAM INSOLES WET AT ALL, YOU WILL NEED A NEW PAIR OF SHOES. How do I know this? I am about to go get my third pair of these shoes in the last 11 months because of this problem. The first time, I was walking in the cemetery and the blades of grass were damp, which got the shoes damp. This proceeded to give them a HORRIBLE smell by the end of the night. I went this website and on google for an answer. Many people all asked if these shoes are washable or if the memory foam inserts are removable because of the smell and they needed to be washed, and so a Skeechers representative (Tim?) said you can wash the shoes but have to air dry them and they should be fine. THIS IS NOT TRUE. I washed and air-dried that particular pair three times and if I wear them for an hour, that horrid smell comes back. SO, I gave Skechers the benefit of the doubt and figured maybe I got a bad pair or something. NOPE. On to the second pair of Skechers. I went to a concert and was squished up in front of the stage (LOTS of people there). Queue the drunk chick from hell + a plastic glass with an inch of melted ice to the right of my feet + drunk chick trying to get in front of me (NOT HAPPENING) = spilled water on shoes. DAMMIT. I just got these a month and a half ago! Grumble grumble grumble. Put the shoes in the wash again this weekend, waited three days before wearing them (wanted to make sure they were thoroughly dry), and... THE HORRID SMELL IS BACK. Ugh. Now I have to get ANOTHER pair! And I was super, duper careful to make sure these wouldn't get wet until drunk chick showed up. I am almost leaning towards NOT getting this particular style shoes strictly BECAUSE of this problem, but I really love how comfortable these are. I am poor, so it's quite difficult to get a new pair of shoes this many times in a year, but I am going to try to find a way. For now, I will leave one of these pairs in my trunk in case of an earthquake emergency where I can grab these as a second pair. If Skechers can come up with a solution to this issue (hey, you have a lot of shoes with this type of insole, maybe you want to look into this problem), then I will be a fan for life of these particular shoes. Until then, please be aware of these pros and cons!
