this is the most comfortable and versatile shoe I own. I wear it all the time anywhere. The kick-down heel works perfectly when I need it. I only wish that the pull-on heel strap were easier to use. Maybe if it were just a bit bigger it would be easier to get my finger in it and still not impact the feeling when the heel is folded down.

Comfort and Performance Issues

ConsCauses Blisters
Both my son and I used these shoes during a Boy Scout summer camp for the first time and although they are quick drying and supportive they cause blisters on the heel due to a seam and the sewn in loop that is used to pull on the shoe. Worse than the heel blisters is that the shoes become embedded with small stones (gravel) that somehow work their way between two layers of mesh on the sides of the shoe. These stones can not be removed and cause further blisters. Both of us have size 14 feet but with relatively narrow C width and that to sufficiently tighten the shoes with the pull lacing system, this then results in excessive mesh material forming painful wrinkles on top of the foot which run from the toe area to the instep. In summary while these shoes appear to be built well they have design flaws and performance issues that render them completely unsatisfactory for their intended use. I will be returning the shoes for a full refund. A person with a wider foot might have a better fit but the heel and stone problems are still likely.
The shoe is great -- lightweight and comfortable (except for one issue). The stitching on the inside at the back severely chafed (ripped) the skin on the back of my ankle. I needed to put padding there to resolve, but I shouldn't have had to do that. I love Teva products, and have been wearing for years, but I'm a little disappointed that, after all this time, their design team didn't let common sense dictate that a shoe intended for people to wear without socks should not have exposed stitching that can come in contact with skin. Note for future models...
