I bought these to use while wading in streams while fishing based on a recommendation from a friend. 1st time out with them I was very impressed! Very lightweight and shed water quickly. Very comfortable for wading several miles and hours at a time. The fabric that snugs up around the ankle does a great job of keeping rocks/gravel/and even sand from getting down into the shoe which is very important. Very comfortable and grippy in water and out. Climbing over logs, slippery rocks, etc. is no problem.

ConsShoes Could Use A Thicker, Thin Lining Toenail Area, Wears out quickly
the area above toenail area is in need of reinforcement so that toe nail will not cut through.

This is a great all around day hiking shoe. For tough hikes a heavier shoe with more toe protection and support would be better as there just isn't much to this shoe. But for short hikes and walking around they don't get any better!

While traveling the country taking photos of the natural landscape I need a shoe that is light and comfortable. The Churn fills the bill and fits like a sock!
