Nice sandal liked my, old version better

I can't remember the name of the older model I had before this model, but it had the clasps so once you got the straps where you liked them you never had to readjust the velcro. I liked that feature over having to fidgit with straps to get a comfortable fit time and again.
It is a great shoe, although it picks up the odor of the foot after a few hours of wear. I've never had a TEVA brand with a leather foot pad. Kind of stinky, unfortunately.
My first pair of Teva sandals lasted 10 years and I wore them all spring, summer and fall in the North Georgia Mountains and the streets of Atlanta. I looked at the soles last week and the right had worn thru so you could see the strap coming under the upper. LOL!! They were still comfy and clung to my feet. The new leather Katavi is probably not water worthy (I won't find out) but they look so nice and felt so great the first day I wore them! It has been a few weeks now and the sandals fit like gloves and are soft to step into, they tighten firmly without any crimping and they breathe even better than my old pair. If these last another 10 years I'll be getting another pair then. I might even buy a second pair for waterfalls and creeks in the summer. Teva's are the best sandal made!
