This is the second pair of Halyards that I have purchased. Last year 13 yr old son finally decided to up his "swag" and start to wear shoes to school instead of sneakers all of the time. These were the perfect shoes to help him break in to his new, more grown up style. They are very durable. They look great with both shorts and jeans. They can be worn with or without socks. His foot tends to be on the wide side and these fit without a problem. After a little bit of wear, they really conform to your foot and are quite comfortable. We were able to get about 8 months of heavy wear out of these until I needed to replace them. The non-sale retail price is fair but I'm always able to get some kind of great sale at FF which makes them even more affordable.
