Defect

I have noticed a defect after wearing the shoes only twice. The tab that holds the shoelace eyelet has ripped loose from where it was sewn in to the shoe. The defect is on the left shoe, bottom (first) eyelet. This is the second pair of these shoes that I have purchased, but the first defect I have noticed. I am curious about your policy on defective merchandise.
