I bought these shoes primarily for work. I am a manager at a hospital and easily walk 5-7 miles a day in them. I like the look and feel of the shoes, they appear 'dressy' but at the same time they are slip resistant. I am on my second pair of this style. 6 months ago I bought my first pair but I wore them home in the rain on numerous nights and that broke them down a little faster than normal work use. I now keep a pair at work and commute in tennis shoes so these stay looking nice for meetings and such.
