After seeing so many kids wearing these bog boots, I purchased a pair for each of my daughters. They wear them during the winter for "light" use (in and out of school, running errands, etc), and for rain and mud boots. Although rated for temps to -30 degrees, extended time outside in snow and cold left the girls with cold toes after 20 minutes or so. The next time I will buy 1/2 size bigger or so to leave room for an extra pair of socks. The styles are cute, the girls say they are very light weight and comfortable. I will buy again, but would recommend a more traditional snow boot if you will be very active during the winter.
