the instep is way too high for my foot, except in winter with thick socks.. exchanging them - I'll try another style.

I just purchased these, and while very pleased with the support they provide, was sad to realize they are not as cushy as even my old crocs. (regular) I was really hoping for that. That said, I am sure will get lots of use out of them : )

These are nothing like the old Rx shoes. I've been buying them for years, one pair after the other. The sole is not near as thick, they are not comfortable and there is no protective toe area like in the past. Aggravating to say the least!!
