I bought these to replace a pair of 50525s that have been my absolute favorite and most comfortable casual shoes I have ever owned. Although the Sparta is not an identical replacement, the shoe is close enough. The sole is well cushioned and comfortable. I hope these are more durable than the 50525s, but even if they wear out in a year, they're worth the price because of fit and comfort.
