This specific fit -- the Chuck Taylor All Star Low Top in monochrome black -- is a replacement pair. I enjoyed them so much for their comfort, style and wardrobe fit that I would miss them if I had not replaced my worn out pair. I find enough comfort in them that I still have the old pair for yard work. They are just too worn out to wear them confidently to work or out. I am contemplating on a custom pair.
My hopes: that when this pair runs its life, I can still find an exact replacement as I have done before.

I love converse overall, but for some reason these feel more comfortable and lighter. I would 100% recommend buying your regular size as they do seem to be true to size.

One last for men and women?

This is my second ever pair of Cons and like the first pair, they run really wide, as if you have one last for men and women. Not good. I happen to have a pair of custom orthotics on hand and they help a lot. But I still feel like I'm wearing Bozo the clown shoes. Guess I'll get used to them.
