I recently fractured my left foot and it is in a boot cast. The cast was causing multiple problems with my gait. I noticed that the soles of these shoes were raised so I purchased them. My hip pain and knee pain have disappeared while wearing a show on my right foot. They are comfortable, supportive and I can slip my orthotic in them easily.
I bought these shoes on the recommendation of the clerk. She was right they are perfect for walking and working. I have a foot issue and can't wear flat type shoes for too long without pain. I wear these all day with NO foot pain. Mine have lasted over a year, but should be replaced sooner than a year if they are worn daily. Going to get a few new pairs and this time have the "MaryJane" type for dressy occasions.
