As I said in the headline, these take a bit of getting used to. I wear Skechers a lot, as it's one of two brands that actually fit... these fit as my other wide-width Skechers fit, which is very well. The Shape-up sole is curved and very thick. This means very low impact walking, but walking with curved sole is a little odd. After 2 weeks, I'm used to them, and prefer them to my prior shoes.

I wear my Shape Ups to work, to the mall, while walking my dog and while working out. I love these shoes, they are so comfortable, it's like walking on a plush carpet, so much cushion that I can walk farther and longer in them. I have lost two dress sizes in four months, my blood sugar is down and I feel great. I have arthritis in my knees and walking had not been an option for me. Now I can walk a mile every day and I feel great. At first, they felt awkward because they looked bulky, but the cushion, rocking motion, and style made walking a breeze. I fell in love with them. I bought a pair for my son and sister. I have no regrets, I'll buy me another pair again and again.

This particular pair of shoes was being sold like crazy at an education seminar I attended in San Antonio, Texas in early March. A lot of teachers who spend a good deal of time on their feet, were buying[...]like my running shoes, these need to be sized up 1/2 size (I wear a 14 running shoe). I ended up ordering directly from the company[...]On Fridays we wear business casual and as I purchased the all black style, I can wear them at work. My pair weighs about 5 pounds, so they are not lightweight. I would not try fast walking or an incline treadmill, but if you want to just walk or normally go for a walk each day, I believe these would work well for you (that is why I bought them). You will get used to wearing them in about 30 minutes, and you will feel a little soreness in your butt and the back of your legs after the first full day of wearing them, as they make you stand up straight and tall, rather than slouch, so are good for posture.
