The shoes are sylish and fit fine. The tongue is very stiff and hits my kids foot at the front ankle (where the top of the foot meets the leg). This is very uncomfortable. After several tries to loosen-up the tongue fabric, the shoes remain unworn. Perhaps your kid won't have this issue. I would recommend having your kid wear these for a few minutes around the house on carpet so they can be returned, if needed. These were out of the box and worn to school and are not returnable now. She wore these twice and now won't touch them. Never had this happen before with Skechers.
