ProsLightweight, Cushioning, Shock absorbing, narrow heal fit
This is my 6th pair of Rykas and am as pleased as before. I have a narrow foot with arthritis problems and Rykas have been a wonderful discovery for continuing my walking and can stay in them all day with little fatigue at the end of the day.

ConsChafes, Not Supportive Enough, laces too short
I have previously had two pair of the mesh athletic shoes. They were very comfortable and I never had to break them in. The mesh, however, was cold in the winter and bad in the rain when I walked the dog, so this time I opted for the walking shoe with the stretch sides. I also thought I would like them because I have arthritis in my feet. When I first wore them I developed a blister on my heel. The back has some hard piece inside. I had to work with the heal and wear a bandaid for at least 4 times to break them in. Also the laces are not as long as I would like them to be. I like to double knot them so they will not come loose when I am out as I cannot stoop down to retie them. I have also replaced the innersoles with orthotic ones and now they seem to be just fine.

This is my second pair of Ryka's Dash walking shoes. Not only are they extremely comfortable, but the sizing has remained consistent. I was so pleased to find it offered in denim colors which seem to me more appropriate for my over 80 age group.
I will be purchasing a second pair for myself and a second pair for my daughter. The shoes stretch yet provide excellent support. I have bunions and I have found that other sneakers are too confining and uncomfortable. These sneakers are flexible and stretchy. I love them!
