I HAVE ONE OF EACH FOR WORK (BLACK) AND FOR BUMMING AROUND(WHITE) I STAND A LOT AT MY JOB AND I STAND ON CONCRETE SO THIS SHOE GIVES A LOT OF SUPPORT,AND CUSHION. AND I LOVE THEY COME IN WIDE WIDTH. "Finding NB black shoes for work is proving to be challenging. I used to wear the 400 and the 410, but can no longer find them anywhere. So, I decided to try the 623 after searching endlessly on line. It wasn't what I expected. The cushioning is good, but the shoe is a little tight around the toe box and it's not very flexible. For the first week or so, my ankles hurt when wearing the shoe. 3 weeks later, it's not as bad but the shoe is not very comfortable. I still wear them because I have no choice. I can't afford to buy a bunch of shoes looking for one that will get me through the next day. Once these have run their course, I look for something else."

Cons: Chafes, Not Breathable

"I bought these because I was always told that the higher number means better support. I normally buy the 609. I feel these lost their support so much faster than the 609. Although they are a good shoe, I need the support to last longer. I am going back to the 609."

"The New Balance 623 has become my favorite shoes. I even bought two pair. There is no outstanding color to clash with clothing colors, they are sturdy and comfortable."
