"i personally have not worn them, but i my fiance has. i bought them for him as a gift and he wears them to work everyday where he's on his feet almost the entire day. he says they are one the best shoes he has worn for work and loves them."

"I purchased these shoes to wear to work occasionally. The fit is atypical of New Balance. It is lacking in comfort and the width is slightly narrower as well. Quality seems a bit sub par for New Balance. Pass on this model."

"I mistakenly bought these for my husband to replace the NB he already owned. I didn't realize the number system was that important. He has foot issues and proper shoes are very important as he spends a lot of time walking throughout the day at work. The 512 is more narrow and he complained about the tightness across the toes. We returned these (purchased online) to the local store and purchased the black NB 609 which he loves. The return was easy and the clerks very helpful."
Cons: Chafes, No Arch Support

"These were bought for my husband for work. He works in an office connected to a tractor shop. He has been wearing them for the last week to work. He has not complained about discomfort. I asked him. They have not, so far, shown any grime, grease or oil. His previous pair of work shoes were not black and they were "ruined" right away for anything but work."

"My son has been wearing these for years. One of the few brands that fit wide feet and comfortable. Because it is leather & all black, he has worn them to school as well as dressy/casual events - which was helpful since kids feet grow so fast I didn't want to buy dress shoes that he was only going to wear once in awhile. And he got away with wearing these even with dress pants. I would just use black shoe polish to brighten it up when needed. And being leather - great for wet weather, even snow, as he hates boots."
