I don't agree with ordering down a size for half sizes

First I want to say these are really adorable! My son wears an 11.5 and I was unsure what size to order for him. So I did what was recommended and ordered down to the closest whole size, assuming they ran slightly big. I wish I had ordered up a size instead because they just fit and he has no room for growing. I would exchange them, however the black are now sold out and that is the color he really wanted.
