I will admit it, I often will choose comfort over style and these aren't too much of an exception other than they have a look of good quality. Comfortable to wear for a day of walking. I did try these on in a store, regretted not buying them so ordered the black and brown pair online. When I received them they fit slightly wider than in the store (a byproduct of trying on shoes after walking all day?). I have a narrow foot, so my only wish is that they ran a little narrower...but my guess is they are sized averagely as that seems to be a common complaint I have with most shoes...not being a true N in size, but wishing most shoes ran a bit narrower.
I needed a pair of sandals to go on vacation with and I didn't have a lot of time to break in a pair. I wore these shoes for a few hour and went shopping, they were so comfortable I forgot I had them on. I love them.

It is so hard to find a pretty pair of sandals without buying a pair of stilts or other nonfunctional sandals that will stay in the closet all summer because they are too hard to walk in for more that two hours. BOC has come to the rescue by offering these sandals that are high enough off the pavement so you don't get rocks and dirt in your newly pedicured toes and flexible enough that you can actually run un them if necessary. They are easy to wear all day long too! I love the style and will be buying them in brown too! By the way, I always look for real leather for a bit of give so my feet don't sweat and the man made materials don't cut into my feet. They are perfect!

My foot is sorta "duck" shaped - wide toe box, narrow heel, and I've got a 'heavy' foot - so it's difficult to find what fits well but is also durable and comfortable, sandals cushioning and w/straps work well for me. These Josettes have both! I gave style a 4 only because of taste, I would have liked less leather straps or not as wide - they are super cute tho, fit well a size larger - I had to order a 10 even though I'm a 9 - there are no half sizes (which would have been perfect since my one foots a tad larger than the other). The cushioning really sold me! Enjoy!
