Great boots for thicker calves.

Unfortunately I had to return these boots because they were just a bit too small to wear with my thicker boot socks, but they were comfortable in other socks. I would recommend getting a half size larger than you normally wear. I like that the shaft was a bit bigger than most boots, great for a larger than "super-model" size calf, and good for wearing over jeans. If you have small calves do not get these. The faux leather has a nice look and the over all style is true to the riding boot look.

This boot was everything I wanted. The only downside is it seems that the boot will be slippery on wet surfaces but that can be fixed with shoe grips.
