Question rather than review

Just purchased the Bugaboot Plus Omni Heat boots and used them this morning for the first time ... clearly warm but the ankle support is so stiff they kill my ankles ... appreciated any and all suggestions on how to get these 'broken in' ...

Great Performance, Durability Issues
PostedJune 16, 2013
After 1 1/2 years of wearing these on the job daily, the soles began separating from the uppers. I didn't notice at first because they remained waterproof. A $5 tube of shoe-goo sealed them back up, but it seems that there is a trade-off for lightweight, athletic shoe construction in a heavy-duty work boot.
I certainly don't feel cheated on the price; the boots are warm, comfortable, well cushioned and light. The designers might want to rethink the connection between soles and uppers.

What has happened to quality products from Columbia
PostedApril 17, 2013
My "old" Bugaboots had given out and without question, purchased another pair. I have always had confidence that Columbia provided quality products and thought the "new" Bugaboot would match the comfort and quality of the former pair. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The new boot does not have the same type of lining and is not as soft and comfortable as the old pair. The laces do not fit in the eyelets as did the old style and are harder to get on and off. Did they improve their product - not in my opinion.
