This is my second pair of these shoes. On the first pair, the loop on the tongue that holds the laces ripped off of both shoes the second day. I exchanged them thinking it was a fluke. It wasn't as the second pair did the same thing. I figured I would just not worry about it and kept wearing them. Then after a couple of months the whole side of the shoe is coming apart at the sole. The fabric just shredded. I think there is a fabric quality issue. Otherwise they are comfortable and I wear them every day.

They fit better than any recent shoe I've had. They were also comfortable from the get-go, no break in period. I've owned Keen, Merrill, Columbia's in the last couple of years and these are honestly the best fitting, most comfortable, and durable of the lot.

I buy a good pair of everyday hiking shoes every 5 years or so. these will definitely last me that long or hopefully more. I did not need waterproof. I much prefer breathable. Feet get wet anyways. breathable is better for me. these are the most comfortable shoes I coul.d find for under $100 and theyu are made very well.

I just bought a pair of 4043's and Teva just impressed me again! The comfort and support of this shoe is unbelievable. Try a pair on soon before they sell out.
