Flattering boot for wide calves

This is an attractive boot. The squared toe is great for a wide foot and gives plenty of room on the sides. So many boots are too narrow and rub terribly. The stretch insert gives the boot a great fit over wide calves without looking like a "wide shaft" boot.

Although I read reviews that mentioned the extra width in the calf, I didn't think it would be an issue because I have bigger calves. But . . . I thought wrong. I also though the bottom of the shoe and the top didn't "jive" well - like the shoe equivalent of a mullet - business on the bottom and party on top.

The only thing that I don't like, but can live with is that it is too wide at the top of the boot. I like the overall boot
