Great Comfortable Boots
PostedApril 29, 2013
ProsArch Support, Comfortable, Durable
I have worn these for two weeks so I cannot speak for durability, but I have purchased other shoes from this company and they held up really good. They were comfortable right out of the box. I added a comforting arch support from the Dr Scholls thing. Its a 50 dollar addition but it makes it feel like wearing comfortable tennis shoes. I will buy this boot again when I need it but based on past experience it will be a while before I need to.

ProsBreathable, Comfortable, Cushions Impact, Great with Jeans, Stylish
ConsSteel Toe Rubber Coving, Stitching, Wears Out Quickly
I may be more picky about the shoes I wear when it comes to work, but I'm not impressed at all with these shoes. I don't think I have owned them more then 6 mo. The rubber steel toe protector is flaking away from the top seam, and I just found that another stitching seam is falling apart leaving a nice big hole in the side of my shoe. The seams are built with stitching that is two light for a work boot. I really haven't even put this through rough working conditions. The major wear is from mostly normally dialing walking use and I work at a computer where I don't work on my feet. I payed $75 and hoped they would last me at least 2 years. I've had Timberlands and Wolverines that have been worked hard and they lasted at least 2-3 years. Normally the sole would crack causing the replacement.

Black=poor construction, Brown=flawless

ProsStylish
ConsPoor Fit, squeaky, Uncomfortable, Wears Out Quickly
While the newer, black model of this shoe is more attractive than the older, brown model, it is much poorer in construction. After 3 months of light usage (ie at a computer all day), the top eyelets are half-torn from the boot, the toe seams and external fabric are both fraying, the dee-ring eyelets have twisted sideways, and the steel toe continues to squeak loudly every step. I do not expect them to last another month. The black model fits more tightly (both width and length) than the brown. Both pairs of the older brown model proved much more durable under heavy use, and I will happily purchase the brown model again. I still love skechers, but the prettier black model should be reserved as formalwear, in contrast to the brown model, which are seemingly invincible.
