I have only had these shoes for a month so I don't know if they wear out fast. I also work on metal roofs, which is why I choose the slip resistant soles, and again I have'nt had a chance to rate their profomance. I am impressed with their comfort and the weight of a steel toe shoe. I have owned skechers before and have always been satisfied with the quality and durability, I can't see these being any different. Definitely worth my hard earned money.

ConsEyelets break
Great looking and fitting shoes. Are strong with great support. Don't feel like steel toe shoes, very comforitable. The eyelets are weak though. Had one break within first month. I cut remaining eyelets off and thread laces through eyelet supports. Very tight area and was difficult to thread. Actually fit better (more snug) without eyelets.

They are good shoes for my electrical profession. They have a big odor to them. The rubber from them smells up my work van and office. I'm hoping in time the smell with go away. I've had the shoes for 3 weeks now and its still strong.
