In the past I have purchased other brands, but I always return to Ryka walking shoes. They are the best for comfort and wear. I would have no other brand.

I have a high instep plus I have to wear a lift, so that requires me to need a wide (D) width shoe. I also wanted a shoe that had great support for my back and knees cause I love to do Zumba Dance exercise. These shoes offered both. They didn't need any break in time either. I put them on immediately and wore them the whole day with no discomfort. I would definitely recommend the Women's Sportwalker by Ryka. I only hope that Ryka will make more gym shoes with more selections in the wide (D) width for people like me.

I have always worn Ryka. Bought a wide width to compensate an ankle brace that I have to wear also an insert due to having tendonitis, arthritis and fallen arches. This shoe is very hard does not give as you walk and no arch support - as I am on my feet for 8 hours, at the end of the day my feet are hurting and very uncomfortable. Cannot wait to get home to take off.

I wear these shoes for work and they never hurt my feet. It is so nice to be able to find shoes that you can take right out of the box and wear them. No "breaking in". Very comfortable.
