As another person had the exact same issues, from the same time frame I purchased two pairs (one for me, one for daughter). Our shoes both had the heel cushion break apart too. I tried contact cement to glue them back together as my daughter and I both love our shoes. This was the third pair of Rykas I've owned. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

Shoe Fell Apart

Conspoor construction/quality
this shoe although comfortable when i first got them fell apart in no time flat. i bought them to run canine agility. the separate "cushions" on the heel came off repeatedly (even after trying to glue them back on with Gorilla Glue). i couldn't be more disappointed in a pair of shoes. Worst of all, i bought 2 pairs of them at the same time. they have totally turned me off to Ryka shoes. until now i had been a looooong time buyer/wearer of Ryka shoes.

I love my shoes. This is my second pair of Ryka shoes and I was happy with the comfort of my last pair so I took a chance and picked out a new pair. I have arch pain, and I like a rounded toe, light weight shoe. It's mostly for walking and at the gym. They have definately fit the bill. It is rainy here on the coast, and the traction is noticably superior over other athletic shoes. They feel roomy.(whic I like). I had to add my orthodics, but that is not the fault of the shoe. I will buy another pair as needed.
