So bummed with these boots. They took 14 days to reach me via shipping, and then they are huge in the calves. I'm an average size person, if anything my legs are slightly thick, and these boots are huge at the top of the calves. They stick out at the top and don't fit to the leg at all.
Really comfy on my feet, color and other quality looked great, just way to big and awkward looking at the top edge near knee.
Returning to store immediately.

Consshaft could be wider
I bought this boot based on reviews I'd read - which were all pretty helpful. :# I do want to say though, I'm not sure how much help the double zipper really is. I have big calves. A little less than 16 inches around at the widest spot #which is lower than the top of the shaft of the boot). So I tried using the expansion zipper. Problem is, the part I need expanded isn't right at the top. So the boot looks kind of stupid with the 2nd zipper unzipped about 2 inches; it's too open at the top and still not really that loose where it's needed. I'm keeping the boots b/c I can still zip these without using the 2nd zipper. I'm hoping the shaft will loosen up with wear.
Also - be careful with the expansion zipper. The first time I unzipped the zipper almost all the way down, it got caught on the material that will unfold if the zipper is down. I had a very difficult time getting the zipper back up.

I have been looking for a pair of riding boots and thought I would give these a try. I love the color, but the boot was stiff and uncomfortable. Fit was true to size, though.
