"I'm a male nurse and have put off buying a pair of crocs despite rave reviews from my female counterparts. When I saw the more manly loafer style crocs I thought it would be the best opportunity to try the croc label without giving up too much of my dignity. I was surprised at how comfortable they are after a one day break in session. Until broke they were way too stiff. But as a nurse it is a great thing to be able to simply hose off any fecal matter, urine, or emesis(vomit) change my socks and put on perfectly clean unstinking shoes just minutes after a soiling. I have entire pairs of running shoes that have been ruined by a little vomit. The great price also drew me in, I don't think I would have experimented unless the price was right. Looking for my next great deal on Crocs."

Cons: poor arch support

"I'm always on the lookout for comfortable shoes I can wear without socks. I've had a pair of the Crocs clog style, but didn't love them. I think I just couldn't get used to the back strap. The Crocs Islander Sports however have been great (and Famous Footwear had them at a great price, I might add.) I've worn them on casual days out and to the beach. These shoes are replacing a pair of Sperrys which I've loved and have been wearing for a couple of years. So far they are proving to be more comfortable and less stinky than the leather Sperrys. Of course the styling of the Crocs may be somewhat polarizing, but I don't mind going my own way, and I kind of like the chunky look. If you want an affordable, comfortable, low maintenance shoe to wear without socks and like (or at least don't dislike) Crocs' unique style, definitely try a pair of Islander Sports."

"I live in a semi tropical climate. I previously had these shoes and it was time for another pair. They are comfortable with or without socks. They are slightly longer than my previous pair that was the same size 11. But not enough to drop down a size. The extra toe room actually feels good.
I can get these shoes wet or wear they to the beach and they just rinse off. The laces on my new pair are not leather which I like since the leather ones on my old pair had a tendency to come untied.
If you tie then slightly loose you can just slip into them. I like that. Overall these Crocs are great."

"I think the Crocs Men's Islander Sport is the perfect summer shoe. The quality of the fit, finish and materials seems very good. I really like the design - I can wear them with socks to work or without for play. On a hot summer day they are nicely ventilated and if it rains there's no problem - I just have to remove my socks if I'm wearing any! Eight thumbs up! I had to rate the length and width differently than "true to size" to that the website would accept my review but they are true to size."

"Only had this pair a week, but they sure are comfy. Plus, you can wear them almost anywhere, except to work. They look like boat shoes but are actually open, outdoor Crocs. They look like they will clean up easy and last a while."
