"I have always worn New Balance sneakers but never truely appreciated them for all that they can be until recently having foot surgery... I walk three miles a day as part of my rehab and couldn't do it with any other shoe. Recently my hubby has been walking with me and he never owned New Balance before I went and got him his own New Balance sneaker and Now he is hooked..... Best shoe ever full of support in all the right places, Great for walking or working or just comfort You will not be dissappointed"

"I have been wearing New Balance 609 for YEARS as an aerobics instructor. I stocked up on them when they were 'discontinuing' the the previous version. I finally ran out and ordered the 'new' version of 609. They look great and felt great at first. However, only 5 days later, my feet felt terrible. They felt the way they normally do when I need to ditch my shoes and get a new pair. I removed the insole and noticed that after only 5 days of wear, the insoles were almost flat! I had to replace the insoles in only 5 days (not weeks or months!!!!!). Now, they are great! But, I shouldn't have to do that. So if you buy this new 609 styling, just ditch the insoles at the very beginning and you will be ok. I don't know what they did differently."

"I usually love this style, I have purchased these several times before and was able to put them on and they have felt wonderful no need to break them in, this time for some reason the heal pinches so terribly that I will need to use something to stretch it out as they are to painful and uncomforatable to walk around in for any length of time. Unfortunately I need to order on line to get them in a narrow width and my receipt was thrown away so I can't return them."

"I wore my last pair of 609's into the ground. Had difficulty finding another pair until now. I have high arches and wide feet and these are by far the most comfortable sneakers I have ever owned. My job requires me to be quick on my feet and ready for anything, dress shoes are not an option. If you have to work in sneakers, these are the best!"
