"I wore out another Columbia boot - heartbroken because they were WARM, comfortable...and had become so entrenched into winter wear due to the boots' endurance (quality). I am thrilled to have found these boots because they are good quality and comfortable. They are also warm without feeling bulky. The shank is higher than I typically like, but these are still comfortable. Wore them outdoors (with approx. ambient temp. of 32F) for ten hours of biological field work (1st time "long wear" out-of-the-box), and the boots provided NO grief! My only "hmmmm" comment is that the laces seem "slippery" and come untied easily, even with double knots. I can fix that small dilemma with different laces."

Cons: laces do not hold tie well

"These are my work-horse boots. This is my third pair - I have been wearing them for more than 25 years. I walk my dog in the snowy woods in the cold weather and these are great for that purpose. They are really warm, waterproof, comfortable and have great traction. They keep my ankles warm and dry and they are a great length for tucking in jeans and snow pants. When they get dirty - and they do - they clean up easily with soap and water."
