"I already had a brown pair of these Dr. Martens Sussex boots that I bought a few years back. I have been wearing them religiously since I got them. After taking a good look recently at the soles of them, I noticed there was little to no wear or breakdown on the oil resistant rubber material. I walk heavy on my heels, so I was expecting some significant wear. Rather than buy another brown pair (which I probably wouldn't be wearing anytime soon), I decided that a black pair was in store. I searched the web for the best deal and landed at Famous Footwear's site finding a deal that was $10 better than the cheapest one elsewhere online. And the shipping was covered too. They shipped super fast and I've already begun breaking them in. They'll be fully broken in by this time next year. :–)"
Pros: Comfortable, Easy to Clean, Durable, the sole can take anything
Cons: takes a few days to wear in the upper ankle flap

"Doc martins are the best, and they seem to last forever. I wasn't to sure about this shoe though, but after I put it on, it was very comfortable, and more casual as well. My other Doc Mart. look more like work boots, but these are great. Great shoe and very comfortable."

"This is my second pair of Dr. Martens and and the only reason i had to purchase a new pair is unfortunatley mine were stolen at work! These shoes are even better than the last pair which were great as well. Very sturdy man shoes and still casual. Worth every penny!"

"These shoes are built tough: the leather is thick but flexible, soles have great traction, and they look great with a pair of dark jeans. They do tend to fit a bit wide, but i have wide feet and knew this going in, because that's the way Dr.Martens are. I tend to wear either a 11 or 11.5 and went with a 11 and they fit perfect. They are manly boots, that fit well and that were built to last. The only reason you may shy away would be if you have a narrow foot."
