"I wear orthotics and have to have a very sturdy shoe with good support and this shoe fits the bill. It isn't flimsy and bendy as some athletic shoes can be and it's incredibly durable. My orthotics fit perfectly under the liner. The only drawback, these babys are not sexy. I have been asked multiple times if I'm a nurse or facility worker while wearing these shoes. However, this is a price I'm willing to pay for comfort."

"New Balance 405 is a good shoe...but it is hard to buy online unless you are repeat buying the same shoe. My size depends on the brand...I'm glad I didn't buy the 10...11 just fits...and will feel better once broken in...and I will use for walking exercise.
However I also bought the clearance Nike View III...BOGO...these are awesome shoes...I bought a 10 and 11...and I am keeping both...the 10 fits well with a thin but padded bottom sock...and the 11 fits well with a good foam pad insole and whatever sock and is my swollen feet shoe...very supportive and cushy...and my feet didn't sweat in these...perfect for my standing job...better than the New Balance."
