"This is the second pair I've purchased in the past 3 years. They wear like iron and continue to look good for a long, long time. I would have continued wearing the first pair as there was lots of life still left in them and the soles were still in great shape, but my feet have changed as I've gotten older and I had to go up a size. I wear them every other day and am on my feet quite a bit as I am a teacher, and must say they are very supportive and my feet don't hurt at all at the end of the day. Don't abuse them, treat them with a good quality wax every 6-8 weeks, and store them with shoe trees inside and they'll last a LONG time. My only complaint is that they don't come in half sizes, but I solved the larger fit issue by adding an aftermarket inner sole and they then fit fine. Look good with casual slacks or jeans. I plan to wear this style of Martens for the rest of my foreseeable life. A great, high quality shoe for an affordable price."

"My wife purchased the black Boston shoes for me in Dec 2011. I recently decided I needed new brown shoes, and she found this same style in brown. They are just as comforatable and supportive as the black pair and I like the color. The toe has scuffed rather easily but it seems that is due to the natural brown color."

"I've owned a pair of these Dr. Marten's for years, when I wear one one out, I replace them with the same kind. They're good looking and very comfortable. They also wear evenly, which is a good bonus, the soles don't "fall" and get rock-hard like cheaper shoes of this type. Yeah, they're 2x the price of the same Skechers, but I think they're worth it in the long run."

"Typical of Dr Martens, these shoes are very comfortable and of exceptional quality. They are slightly bigger than other pairs I've owned and worn, but wearing heavier socks solves that issue. Am considering ordering another pair in a size smaller to see if they will work with thin socks. Otherwise, I remain a very satisfied customer of Dr Martens...and Famous Footwear. The service/delivery was quick and pain free."
