"This is about my 4th pair of these sandals. They are comfortable and easy to get in and out of. They are so comfortable that I wear them in the house all year long instead of slippers. There are no half sizes. I found a good fit a half size down."

"I have worn these sandals a few times so far and they are not quite as cushioned as I'd like (I had foot surgery last summer so the base of my big toe joint wants a lot more cushion than it used to need), they ARE comfortable enough to wear all day without problems. However, I did find the straps a bit stiff at the edges so I spend a lot of time adjusting and readjusting the straps as my feet change during the day to avoid the edges of the straps from cutting into my foot. The across-the-foot strap completely avoids the joints on the toes, so if you have had problems with this in the past, you'll like these sandals! The strap I had to adjust the most was the one around the ankle, as it is right at the front bend of my ankle. However, I will keep these and wear them on days when I am not spending all day on my feet."

"These sandals are the BEST ever! I bought a pair to try on my trip to Europe this fall. They were so comfortable that I ordered a second pair. The material supports your foot and are fine if they are wet. I walked all day shopping and did not once think of my feet. I definately reccomend these."

"This sandal is the ultimate, my second pair. I was extremely disappointed when trying to replace my old pair late last summer and hit the jackpot when they arrived again this year. True to size, comfy, great cushion. Can be worn wet or dry and even in the water at the lake. Allows ample toe beathing room and totally adjustable straps."

"I hate shopping so when I find something that works, I stick with it. I've been buying this shoe for about four years now.
PROS: Lightweight yet durable, comfortable, people often ask where I got them, the color goes with almost anything casual, velcro closures last forever.
CONS: The sizing is not accurate which would make them difficult to buy online. I wear a solid 9 1/2 and sometimes a 10 in some styles. But I wear a size 9 in this sandal.
The star off the overall rating is because of the following cons. Manufacturing seems to have changed over the years resulting in:
1) more chemical ou-tgassing from the shoe than previously (so I put them in a closet with an ionizer for a week or so before using to hopefully cut down on chemicals being absorbed through the bottom of my feet!).
and
2) they are a little stiffer at the onset than they used to be and need a short break-in period (couple of weeks of daily wear).
But I'll keep buying them. They are the workhorse of my summer casual wardrobe every year. Eezy-peezy, put on and go!"
Pros: Flexible, Stylish, Comfortable, Cushioning, Versatile, Durable, get lots of compliments on them, easy and quick to slip on, go with lots of casual wear
Cons: outgas quite a bit for a while, chafe a bit on the top of the toes until broken in

"The Columbia Riptide is the only sandal I have been wearing for the past five summerssince I discovered them! I have a lower back problem, and the sandal is perfect in terms of support and cushioning. My foot is slightly long and narrow, so the Velcro straps adjust beautifully.If the sandals become soiled, they are easy to clean thoroughly, and from time to time I have even popped them in the wash machine! MY only two wishes--1) that the sandal came in other colors (I buy the Men's brown in a smaller size) 2) I lived in a warmer climate, so that I could wear Riptides year 'round!"

"I love Columbia shoes and had read good reviews about the Riptide, but this style did not fit my foot well. Although it is comfortable and nice looking, the strap across the ankle was too tight and even though you can adjust the velcro strap it didn't look right. Unfortunately, I will be returning them. I'm sure this shoe would be great on most people."
