I bought these shoes a few weeks ago. I work at a desk, and the very first thing I do when I get home is kick off my shoes. I have a pair of trainers that I wear when I go running. What I'm trying to say is that I haven't put many miles on these Sketchers. This past weekend I was out at Ikea and Home Depot wandering around looking for some cabinets. Over that period of a few hours, the back of the shoes abraded the back of my ankles pretty badly. Once I got home I wincingly took them off in favor of an old pair of sneakers for the cabinet installation. That was Saturday. For work on Monday I couldn't wear my ratty old sneakers, so the Sketchers went back on. The skin over my Achilles tendons hurt a bit, but no big deal. I didn't do much walking and I figured I'd be on the mend. But, the next morning (today) I got out of bed, stood up, and the skin on the backs of both of my ankles cracked open and started bleeding. Not the way I like to start the morning. I've never had this particular problem before. Not with sneakers, and not with dress shoes. These Urban Tread - Refresh shoes are unwearable if walking more than a few hundred feet per day. But because I've worn them for a few weeks I can't return 'em. The worst part is that I loved these shoes up until this weekend. They were really comfortable, and didn't even need breaking in. I think if it weren't for that one piece of grey woven material set so high on the back of the shoe, they would have been perfect. I guess I'd still recommend this product to anyone that can't walk. So that's a plus.

ConsDisappointed in quality
Love the look, and style of the shoe. However, I was disappointed in the quality. I have only had these approx. 3 weeks, and I have had to re-glue the rubber on the bottom of the shoe. It came unglued from the middle of the shoe to the heel.
